Alex grew up very active, constantly playing sports up until college. Even as a player, he had a passion for coaching and helping others. After youth sports, Alex found it hard to continue training like he was when playing sports as it didn’t seem like there was anything to train for. The traditional bodybuilding/cardio style of exercise didn’t seem to be effective or exciting enough for him. Finally, he was introduced to CrossFit in 2011 when a friend put him through a brutal 20-minute workout and he was instantly hooked. Soon after, he joined his first affiliate. A couple years later, he attended the CrossFit Level 1 seminar and decided to pursue his passion for coaching and helping others get fit and healthy as a full-time career. He also has USA Weightlifting and CrossFit Scaling certifications.
What Alex loves about CrossFit is that it really is for everyone. Those who truly commit to it not only become the healthiest that they have ever been, but do amazing things that they never could have imagined themselves doing at some point. Not only has it changed his life for the better, but he has also seen countless amounts of positive life changes because of CrossFit. Alex wants to provide that experience to as many people as possible.
